A light classical evening with world music influences, awakening the senses through music, dance and literature.

Joining Catrin are Elin Manahan-Thomas, Ballet Cymru, Charlie Lovell-Jones, and actress, Sara Lloyd-Gregory, will read poems especially commissioned for the evening by poet, Eurig Salisbury.

Catrin herself is a talented musician who has done more than anyone to promote the harp in Wales and internationally. Her career has taken her across the world, working with leading orchestras and recording with most of the major international recording labels.

Elin Manahan-Thomas is known for her innovative recital programmes as well as her work in oratorio and on the concert platform. She is Artist in Residence at Bangor Music Festival and presents a regular show on BBC Radio Three. She is also a familiar face on S4C having presented a number of series on music over the past few years.

Charlie Lovell-Jones is one of the UK’s most promising violinists – a multiple winner at the Urdd and National Eisteddfod – and one of our most exciting young musicians. Tonight he joins us on stage – not as a competitor – but as one of the stars of this evening’s concert.

Ballet Cymru is Wales’ only professional ballet company and works closely with choreographers, designers, composers and musicians. Tonight we enjoy one such collaboration as the company joins forces with Catrin Finch in Serenestial: Adventure through Time and Space.

Sara Lloyd-Gregory was last seen on screen in the political drama Byw Celwydd, set to return to S4C in 2017. An award winning actress, she will be reading newly commissioned work by renowned poet, Eurig Salisbury at this evening’s concert.
