Layne Hampson wins scholarship to Ballet Cymru’s Summer School


The Australasian Ballet Challenge, founded by Tim Podesta in 2016, is regional Australia`s premiere ballet competition.  It featured two days of masterclasses and public performances. The competition saw over 100 dancers from throughout Australia and New Zealand compete for thousands of dollars in cash and international scholarships to Harid Conservatory of ballet in Florida and Ballet Cymru. Seventeen year-old, Layne Hampson, from Lismore in New South Wales was selected as the recipient of the Scholarship to Ballet Cymru, Wales International Summer School 2017. She is thrilled with the Scholarship and is looking forward to her time in Wales in July.
